About the Artist

Artist’s Statement

I was taught in the classic approach, leaning composition and value tones, as well as seeing shapes. I have an acute eye for color an enjoy using it expressively. In my paintings I like to show texture and detail as a way to capture nature through my eyes.

Diane Mont Bio

I began art lessons at an early age, taking figure drawing classes at community art centers. My teachers have been Frank Zucceralli and Michael Madigan, and I currently take lessons with Matiko Mamaladze. I have done a variety of commissioned pieces, primarily portraits, landscapes, and pet portraits hanging in private collections. I was also recruited to do some murals for QVC. I primarily paint in acrylics and sometimes pastel. I have also done works in oil.
